Age 77, of Joliet, September 23, 2006. Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Employed by Fisher Body, Willow Springs, for 36 years, retiring in 1989. Active, long time member of St. Thaddeus Church. Member of the P.N.A. Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army.

Survived by a brother, Thaddeus (Roslyn) Hylek; and brother-in-law, Edwin Juban, both of Lockport; his nieces and nephews, Adele (Tom) Devine, Karen (Joe) Devine, Michelle Hylek, Sally (Paul) Susner, Debbie (Jack Warner) Hylek, Sylvia Juban, Jeffrey (Cindy) Hylek, Christine (Matt) Forneris and Lisa (Rich) Kuban; eight great nieces; and four great nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ana (nee Sliwa) Hylek; a brother, Stanley Hylek; and a sister, Catherine Juban. TEZAK FUNERAL HOME

Funeral services Wednesday, September 27, 2006, 9:15 AM to St. John Vianney Church, Lockport for Mass at 10 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 3 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Vianney Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice.

Markiewicz Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
