Services for Howard Joseph "Red" Guillory Sr., 75, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ on U.S. 61 South with Minister Coleman Allmond officiating.
Burial will be in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from noon until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Guillory was born July 7, 1924, in Port Barre, La., to Joseph Athanas and Louise Tweedel Guillory.
He was a member of the Church of Christ on U.S. 61 South and was a retired self-employed oilfield worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Howard Joseph Guillory Jr. and Charles Edward Guillory; one stepson, William David Dunavant; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Belle French Guillory of Natchez; three sons, Michael Guillory of New York City, Bruce Guillory and his wife Pauline of Vidalia and Wayne Guillory of Natchez; one daughter-in-law, Thelma Dunavant of Shawboro, N.C.; one stepson, Bobby (Jo) Dunavant of Monroe, La.; two stepdaughters, Genelle Hall and her husband Herbert of Natchez and Tina Dunavant of Monroe, La.; five grandchildren, Bryan Guillory, Jessica Guillory, Kellie Guillory, Terrance Guillory and Eddie Guillory; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Jim Guillory of Lawtell, La., and Bill Guillory of Port Barre; one sister, Hazel Guillory Savoy of Opelousas, La.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, John David Hall, Carlton Hall, Jason Dunavant, Bryan Guillory, Eddie Guillory, David Dunavant Jr., Terrance Guillory and Phillip Daucas.
