William Benjamin Peat

Birth.
William Peates, son of Andrew William Peates and Clara Peates, formerly Suckling, was born on 8 January 1909, at 2 Cameron Street, Dublin.
His father was a Caretaker.

Founder of the well-known electrical shop in Parnell Street, Dublin.
"Peats World of Electronics".

The headstone notes that William was a former pupil of
The Royal Hibernian Military School.

In the 1911 census, William Peat was recorded as 2 years old, living with his grandmother Alice Margaret Peat, a Widow, a Grocer and Provision Merchant, at Martin's Row, Chapelizod.
