Mrs. Harpending, Merchant, Dies

Mrs. Hazel H. Harpending of Jamesville Road, DeWitt, an antique dealer for many years, died Friday at her home after a long illness.

A native of Muncie, Ind., she entered the antique business 42 years ago and for 22 years operated a shop at 4709 E. Genesee St., DeWitt. She was a communicant of DeWitt Community Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Kelly of Rock Stream and Mrs. Harold T. Oeder of Fayetteville; a brother, Frank C. Hathaway of Hillside, N. J., and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Eaton-Tubbs Funeral Home, Fayetteville, the Rev. Alexander Carmichel officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at the funeral home.
