Passed away in the early morning of Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Age 58 years. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Burial will be in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Wolverine. Sally was born on March 17, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas and Neva (Pemberton) Sackrider and grew up in Saginaw. One June 25, 1966, the former Sally Sackrider married James Riethmeier and he survives. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Church Extension, and served as the Wilmot Township Clerk and volunteered as a Cheboygan County Victims Advocate. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, helping others, traveling with her husband, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her husband, James; three childre, Sandy Riethmeier of Saginaw, James (Anna) Riethmeier of Wolverine, and John (Sarah) Riethmeier of Wolverine; 10 grandchildren, Tiffany, Carl and Emily Hartley, Travis and James Coughran, Brianna, Jamie, and Kyle Riethmeier, and Joey and Michael Riethmeier; a great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Carbeno; her mother, Neva (Clyde) Sackrider-Beardsley, three sisters, Thelma Parkman, Grace (Jim) Colpean, and Rose (Rich) Henderson; a special uncle, Fred (Sharon) Sackrider; two aunts, Ellen Fitzpatrick and Ida Sackrider; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Sackrider; two nephews and by aunts and uncles. Memorial donations may be made to the Gift of Life or the Cheboygan County Victims Advocate.
