Olin Gates Marshall, age 83, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from recent health complications. Olin worked for the A & P Tea Company and Property Assessors Office at the Blount County Courthouse. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Maryville, TN. Olin's two loves in his life were his God and his family. He was known for his beautiful roses that he shared with everyone. Anyone who knew Olin for more than 2 minutes knew how much he loved his children and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman as a hunter and fisherman. Olin was also a dedicated U.T. Vols fan. Preceded in death by: Parents, W.O. & Edith Marshall; Brother, Andrew Marshall; Sisters, Margaret McMillan and Mary Lee Marshall. Survivors include: Devoted Wife of 64 years, Mary Dunlap Marshall; Daughter, Diane Marshall Anderson & Husband Donald K. Anderson; Son, Gary Olin Marshall & wife Cindy Marshall; Grandchildren, Brad & Jennifer Anderson, Heather & Brooks Zweifel, Jesse & Jamie Marshall; Great-Grandchildren, Faythe Anderson, Savannah Anderson, Brady Anderson, Hannah Zweifel, and Ayden Zweifel; Brother, John Arthur Marshall. Olin was also blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Chris Edmonds officiating.
