James Otis Mullins Sr., 65, a resident of 3413 12th St., Gulfport, died at 12:35 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport following a brief illness.
Born June 24, 1911, in Humboldt, Tenn., he had resided in Gulfport for many years. He was a retired mechanic and service station operator, and last operated the American Service Station on 30th Avenue, Gulfport.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his widow., Mrs. Doris E. Mullins; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Ann Barnes; a son James O. Mullins, Jr., all of Gulfport; four grandchildrend; a step son Roy E. Ledig Jr. of Gulfport, and a step daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Ledig Moyer of San Antonio, Tex.
Friends may call at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be held from the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Rene Freret, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Gardens Cemetery.
