"Mrs. Kay Lee Noblitt, 67, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Hospice at Wendover.
Born June 28, 1935, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Owenby Lee Sr. and Sallie Gantt Lee. She retired from James Love School as secretary. She was a member of Shelby First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Edgar Douglas Lee; three sisters, Sara Virginia Lee, Louise Lee Wellmon and husband, Billy Dwight Wellmon, and Jo Ann Lee Crowder and husband, William Alan Crowder; and two brothers-in-law, S.M. Weathers and Johnnie C. Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gilbert Noblitt of the home; a son and daughter-in-law of Salem, Ohio; two granddaughters Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law Shelby; three sisters and a brother-in-law , all of Shelby; her mother-in-law, Anne Rabb Noblitt of Shelby; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Cleveland Memorial Park with the Rev. Ron Seigman officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150 or to Shelby First Church of Nazarene, 1205 Charles Road, Shelby, NC 28152."
