Funeral is Held for Lassen Matron

Susanville - Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the White Memorial chapel for Estelle Yockey who died early Tuesday morning in her home here. She was a native of Arkansas age 49 years. Bishop G.W. Poulsen of the LDS church will officiate. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Tom Ball of Arkansas, two sons Jesse Wardell of Wyoming; Rone Wardell in the U.S. Navy; two daughters, Mrs. John Ward of Wyoming and Mrs. Eugene Wheeler of Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Nathan Furlow of Arkansas, and seven grandchildren. Burial was in Lassen Cemetery, with Bishop G.W. Poulsen officiating. Mrs. Yockey's husband Albert Yockey was instantly killed March 12, this year while driving a propane truck in the Feather River Canyon highway. The trailer of a lumber truck broke loose and crashed head on into the propane truck instantly killing Yockey and demolishing the front end of the propane truck.
