Graveside Services and Inurnment for Delores A. Berggren will be conducted from the Valley View Cemetery at Genoa, Nebraska on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Buck Hendrick and Pastor Bonnie Linton-Hendrick officiating.
Delores Ann Berggren, 76 years of age, of Stamford, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Delores was born April 15, 1936 in St. Edward, Nebraska, the youngest of seven children born to Frank and Katherine (Heltenberg) Campain. She received her primary education and graduated from St. Edward High School with the class of 1954.
Delores was united in marriage to Milton Berggren on September 5, 1954 in Columbus, Nebraska and to this union two daughters born: Phyllis and Anita. The couple made their home in Washington County, Nebraska for 40 years. Delores worked as a meat wrapper for Hinky Dinky in Blair, Nebraska.
Delores enjoyed crocheting, camping, her flower garden, and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her sisters, Vernetta Harrington, Loretta Meyer, Grace Wilcox, Jane Grosch and brother, Vearl Campain.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Milton of Stamford; daughters: Phyllis A. Nelson and her significant other, Don, of Mesquite, Nevada, and Anita L. Shrum of Brady, Nebraska; sister, Darlene Potter and her husband, Harold, of Columbus, Nebraska; five grandchildren: Christopher Seamann, Richard Seamann, Jr., Tyler Nelson, Kyle Shrum and Kelsey Shrum; four great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
There will be no visitation. The family has honored Delores' wish for cremation.
The Mitchell Funeral Home in Orleans is in charge of arrangements.
