Rebecca was the oldest child of Nathaniel Foster, Jr. and his wife, Mary Eldridge. Rebecca married Joseph Moore in 1773 near Philadelphia (Bucks County), Pennsylvania. They had eleven children. Sarah (1774-1793); Nathaniel (1776-1861); Aaron (1778-after 1838); Mary (Abraham)Watson(1780-1864); John Skillman (1782-1843); Foster (1785-before 1813); Jemima (1787-cir 1827); Joseph, Jr. (1790-1884); Foreman (1792-1883); Rebecca (Jesse) Williams (1794-1838) and Burroughs W. (1798-1848).
