22 December 1941 married Ontario Agricultural College graduate John Lloyd McGuire at St. Patrick's just before he left for the front. They had to get special dispensation as John was Presbyterian.
Sadly John was KIA August 1944 his second year fighting in France. Agnes continued living with her parents and working in a shop.
Happily about 1950 she married Kenneth McLaurin and raised four children.
