TEXT OF OBITUARY: (February 25, 1926)

Gaffney, Feb. 24.--Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the residence of E. B. Stacy on West Meadow Street for Acum Stacy, 54, of Murietta, Hot Springs, Cal., who died Sunday night in a Kansas City hospital. Mr. Stacy, who was a sufferer of chronic nephritis, was en route from his home to Gaffney when his condition forced him to stop at Kansas City for medical attention.
Dr. Cecil V. Cook, pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducted the funeral. Burial was in the Petty graveyard near Gaffney.
Mr. Stacy was a son of the late Samuel Stacy. He left Gaffney about 25 years ago, spending the last quarter of a century on the west coast engaged in various occupations.
He is survived by three brothers and three sisters, as follows: Richmond Stacy, Assistant Postmaster E. B. Stacy, C. C. Stacy, Mrs. Nannie Hedrick, Mrs. C. M. Robbs, of Gaffney, and Mrs. H. C. Wilburn of Jonesville.
