Mary Katherine "Kathy" Lehman, age 74, of Richmond, died peacefully Friday, February 8, 2013, at Reid Hospital after a year-long struggle with acute pancreatitis, ending with a stroke. Born October 10, 1938, in Greenback, Tennessee, to Luther and Lide Long Keener, Kathy graduated from high school in 1956 in Maryville, Tennessee. She lived most of her life in Richmond. Kathy retired in 1998 from McFarling Foods as Office Manager, after 30 years of service. She also worked at Wayne Dairy and INA (ACE) Insurance. Kathy was a volunteer at Reid Hospital. She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church and a current member of First English Lutheran Church. Kathy lived her life for her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick" Lehman, to whom she was married on December 25, 1959; daughter, Lori (Rodney) Denniston of Richmond; grandchildren, Joseph (Jessica) Thompson of Centerville and Brittany (Todd) Lauer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; step-grandchildren, Nathan Denniston of Ohio and Nicole (Matt) Nieport of Union City, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Thatcher, and River Thompson, Mason Thompson, and Jaiden, Gracie, and Rheagan Lauer; step-great-grandchildren, Gavin and Caydn Denniston and Cooper and Madilynn Nieport; sister, Reba (Orville) Walker of Tennessee; brother, Douglas (Kay) Keener of Ohio; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, June White. Visitation for Mary Katherine "Kathy" Lehman will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at First English Lutheran Church, 2727 East Main Street, Richmond with Pastor John Walker and Pastor Brian Derrer officiating.
