Thomas A. Cameron was born to Archibald W. "Archer" Cameron and Lucy Harvey in Mississippi. His first wife was Nannie Paralee Lever, born 1842 in Mississippi. They had Eugene C., Lucy Elizabeth "Lizzie" born in 1870 in French Camp, Miss, where Thomas was a farmer at the time, William John and a Nettie Bell.
Thomas' first wife died between 1875 and 1877. His second wife was Fannie May, whom he married in 1877 in Lexington, MS. She was born around 1852 in Mississippi and died Dec. 18, 1932, according to Confederate pension records. They had one child together, Ouida "Vashti" Cameron, born in Texas.
T.A. Cameron lived in Belcherville, Texas, and later kept a rooming house in Ardmore, Okla. He served in the Confederacy in the 31st Mississippi Infantry.

Mrs. Gordon is 73 years old and Mr. Cameron is 74. They have two sisters MR. CYNTHIA HILYER of Bardel, Texas who is 79 years old, and MISS NANNIE CAMERON of Randlett who is 76 years old, and a brother R. K. CAMERON of Purdy, who is 72 years old.
