McMinnville resident and Warren County native Leonard Marvin Brown, age 90, was born February 19, 1922 and died February 7, 2013 at River Park Hospital.

A retired employee of Rockford Textile Company, United States Navy veteran of WWII (European and Pacific Theaters) and member of First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Minnie Antha Bottoms Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.

He was married June 27, 1965 to Louise Gribble Brown of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rolland and Nell Gribble of Panama City, FL and Charles and Norma Gribble of Lakeland, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 in High's Chapel with John May officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 11:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
