Marie, 95, of Owosso, passed away Tuesday, February 5th, 2013.
Funeral services was Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Mowen Funeral Home - William A. Scarlett Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Bare officiating.
Marie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Michelle (Koessel) Buehler. She married Ernest R. Bartz Sr. in Owosso on July 20, 1935. Ernie preceded her in death on August 18, 1982.
Marie attended Salem Lutheran School and the Owosso Public Schools. She was a life member of Salem Lutheran Church. Marie owned and worked along side her husband in their businesses, Bartz Tank Pumping (started in 1957) and later Bartz Pools. She was known as the Pool Lady.
Those who cherish her memory include: son, E. Robert Bartz Jr. of Owosso; daughter, Donna (Joe) Zamora of Owosso; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherry and husband, Vasus Knoblauch; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Bartz and 6 brothers.
Memorials are suggested to either the Shiawassee Co. Humane Society, Owosso or Salem Lutheran Church, Owosso.
