Glen Douville, well known Mosinee businessman, died at St. Mary's Hospital, in this city Tuesday afternoon, April 23, following an illness of ten days. Death was due to a complication of ailments.
The deceased was born at Mosinee on December 15, 1885, son of Jeffery and Mary Donoghue Douville, pioneer residents of that village. For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Douville conducted the Fall City House, at that place one of the well known hostelries during pinery and river days. Following their death, the deceased and his sister, conducted this business until the property was disposed of to the Wausau Sulfate Fibre Company in 1910.
Mr. Douville had been engaged in the flour and feed business and later became extensively interested in the real estate and livestock business. He wa united in marriage to Miss Nellie Lutz of Mosinee in January 1914. To this union, one son, Glen Owen was born. Mrs. Douville passed away on November 7, 1915.
Funeral services will be conducted from St. Pauls Catholic Church in Mosinee, Friday morning, the Rev. James T. Brzezinski officiating. Internment will be in the family lot in the Union Cemetery of Mosinee.
Besides the son, one sister, Mrs. R. C. Ehrman of Chicago is the only immediate surviving relative.
