Deaths and Funerals

Estabrook E. Glosser, 73, a resident of 477 Summit Street, died at St. Petersburg, (Pinellas County), Florida, early today. He had been ill a year and suffered from heart ailment. He and Mrs. Glosser had gone to Florida earlier in the year to spend the winter.

He became an employe of the old Railway Light and Power Co. May 10, 1905. He worked for that company and for its successors, the Columbus, Delaware and marion Electric Co., and Marion Reserve Power Co., more than 40 years retiring Dec. 1, 1945. His position was general line foreman. Included in his duties in the early days were construction and maintenance of electric lines and throughout the year with the rapidly expanding use of elctric power he had in charge the placing in use here of many improvements which developed from time to time in the electric service.

He was a veteran of the Spanish American War. Since his retirement, he and Mrs. Glosser had spent each winter in Florida, returning here in the spring.

Surviving with his widow, Mrs. Madge Glosser, are sons, Estabrook Glosser of Dallas, Tex., David of Richwood, William of San Francisco, Calif., and Albert at home, and four grandchildren.

The son from Richwood left by plane today for Florida to assist Mrs. Glosser in Making funeral arrangements.

EDWARD ESTABROOK GLOSSER, the son of HENRY GLOSSER and JULIET DILLON, was born September 09, 1875 in Bellville, Richland County, Ohio, and died December 26, 1947 in St. Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida.
He married MADGE ETHEL JOHNSON April 05 in Harrisburg, Saline County, Illinois. She was born 1885 in Illinois, and died in Marion, Marion County, Ohio.

The four children of EDWARD GLOSSER and MADGE JOHNSON are:

1. ESTABROOK SR. GLOSSER was born March 02, 1905 in Harrisburg, Saline County, Illinois, and died December 29, 1992 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. He married IDA ELIZABETH SIEPLEIN, daughter of CHARLES A SIEPLEIN and LULU MATTHEWS. She was born October 17, 1907 in Ohio, and died November 24, 1979 in Sylvania, Lucas County, Ohio.

2. WILLIAM GLOSSER was born May 02, 1912 in Marion, Marion County, Ohio, and died December 14, 1973 in Novato, Marin County, California. He married ALLISON LOUISE THOM August 10, 1936, daughter of LEWIS FREDERICK THOM and RACHEL NINA FLOOD. She was born September 21, 1917 in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California, and died October 28, 1984 in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California.

3. DAVID HENRY GLOSSER was born September 03, 1906 in Marion, Marion County, Ohio, and died June 16, 1969 in Richwood, Union County, Ohio. He married EULA DALE BRICKER October 12, 1940 in Prospect, Marion County, Ohio, daughter of JOHN ELMER BRICKER and MABEL IDA MANLEY. She was born August 13, 1907, and died December 08, 1999 in Cary, Wake County, North Carolina.

4, ALBERT J GLOSSER, b. February 01, 1915, Marion, Marion County, Ohio; d. December 05, 1972, Miller, Lawrence County, Missouri. Burial: Sycamore Cemetery, Miller. Lawrence County, Missouri
