Birth: Mar. 3, 1845
Waterloo
Ontario, Canada
Death: Mar. 20, 1922

Daughter of Samuel Moxley and Elizabeth
Springer, she moved with her family from
Ontario to Fayette County, PA in 1853.

On Jan. 10, 1866 in Menallen Twp., Fayette
County, she married Caleb Johnson Miller
(Sept. 23, 1841-Jan. 25, 1908) son of
Hiram and Mary (Johnson) Miller of the
same place.

The young couple lived for a time in Shelby
County, MO near to her parents but about
1880 they returned to Fayette County and
resided in Menallen Township. In the 1890s
they moved to Bridgeport (now part of
Brownsville) and operated a general store.

Children (4):
(1) Mary "Minnie" Miller (ca1867-Aug. 26,
1874) died from a snake bite and was buried
in the Moxley plot in Shelbina, Missouri.

(2) Baby Miller - died aged about three
weeks and also buried in Shelbina, MO.

(3) Springer Clyde Miller (Sept. 1876-
Dec. 28, 1922) was buried with his parents
in Bridgeport Cemetery. He married about
1905 but his wife is not listed with him
on the 1910 census so the marriage may
have been a short one.
His obit in the Uniontown Morning Herald
included the following information:
"Springer Clyde Miller, 46, son of late
Caleb and Hannah Miller, died Thursday
a.m. Dec. 28, 1922 at 4:15 in Brownsville
Hospital from pleurisy. Funeral services

(4) Edna May Miller (Aug. 25, 1884-Aug. 6,
1973) married Charles Edward Ashcraft
(Apr. 15, 1877-Jan. 28, 1964), a civil
engineer, on Dec. 14, 1909 in Brownsville.
They lived in Crafton, a suburb of Pittsburg.
Both were buried in Jefferson Memorial Park
Cemetery, Pittsburg. Their two children were
a) Charles Edward Ashcraft III (Feb. 17,
1911-Dec. 18, 1955) who married Madeleine
DeMuth and had a daughter.
