Last Rites Monday For
Mrs. Chris Kroger, 64
Funeral services for Mrs. Chris Kroger, 64, of near Tipton, were held Monday with the Rev. A. R. Stratemeyer in charge. Mrs. Kroger died Dec. 5 after an illness of several months.
Iva S., daughter of Henry C. and Mary Ann Miller, was born Nov. 10, 1894, at Cedar Bluff.
Her early life was spent in Cedar Bluff where she attended Sunday school and church. She completed the work of the rural school and then attended Tipton high school where she graduated in 1914. In the fall of 1914 she became a teacher in the rural schools of Cass township and taught until Dec. 12, 1917, when she was married to Chris Kroger. They made their home on a farm near Tipton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. Those surviving are her husband, a son, Galen; a brother, Fred C. Miller, Charleston, S. C., and three nephews, Elvin Fankhauser, Flint, Mich., Burdette Fankhauser, Lisbon, and Fred B. Miller, Kensington, Md.
