Rock Musician. He was best known as the lead vocalist of the British rock band The Troggs. Born Reginald Maurice Ball, he made his initial mark in music with an early incarnation of The Troggs called The Troglodytes. After coming under the guidance of manager Larry Page they found success with their signature hit "Wild Thing" (1966) for which received a number one placing on the Pop-Charts. This was followed with the Top-30 song "With a Girl Like You" (1966) and "Love Is All Around" (1968, which reached number seven on the Pop Charts). Presley remained an active performer into the 2000s. In 2010, his health declined as he suffered a stroke and in 2011 he was diagnosed with lung cancer which he succumbed to. (bio by: C.S.)
