Ballou - Fish - At 8:30 Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. M. E. Fish, Miss Henri B. Fish and Mr. Dexter Ballou were made one, Elder Joseph Ballou, father of the groom, officiating in a short but impressive ceremony. Miss Tevis Carpenter, a niece of the bride, was maid of honor and Mr. Ernest Warren best man. After the ceremony and hearty congratulations, a lovely supper was served in six courses in the beautifully decorated dining room. The bride, who was attired in a well-fitting blue cloth dress and carried white chrysanthemums, is the youngest of a family of handsome women and is as popular as she is attractive. Mr. Ballou is a fine young man and begins his married life as a merchant, being now engaged in opening up a grocery stock in a room in the Myers House building, and in which his friends predict for him marked success. Mrs. M. C. Williams and Mrs. Dr. J. G. Carpenter assisted Mrs. Fish in the preparations, which is another proof that everything was handsomely done. For the present Mr. and Mrs. Ballou will live at Mrs. Fish's.

Marjorie, the pretty little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Ballou, took the premium at the Lancaster fair for the "prettiest girl baby under two years old." There were 14 entries, but three of the little ones "cried out" and Marjorie defeated the remaining ones as easy as falling off a log.
