Playwright. Born in New York City, he was best known for his play "Death of a Salesman." His works focused on family, morality and personal responsibility and decried the growing fragmentation of American society. He won the Pulizer Prize in 1949 at age 33. He was briefly married to actress, Marilyn Monroe. He died at the age of 89 in Roxbury, Connecticut. (bio by: Fred Beisser)
