David Merlin Egan, 64, of Ammon, passed away on February 3, 2013 at his home.
Dave was born April 29, 1948, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Merlin Howard Egan and Ida Ruth Durrant Egan. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School and attended Eastern Idaho Technical College. Dave worked in construction management. He owned and ran his own company for over thirty-five years. On January 12, 1974, he married Alysia Faye Byington in Ririe, Idaho. To this union were born four children. David and Alysia lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dave enjoyed fishing, camping, truck driving, and his grandkids.

Dave is survived by
his loving spouse Alysia of Ammon;
Daughter: Trena Egan (Jack) Savoie of Boise, ID;
Son: Demian David (Tiffaney) Egan of Idaho Falls, ID;
Son: Kenyon Heath (Elizabeth) Egan of Idaho Falls, ID;
Son: Kristan Brock (Ashley) Egan of Pahrump, NV;
Eleven grandchildren;
Brother: Steve (Deon) Egan of Ririe, ID;
Sister: Doriene (Glen) Farnes of Ammon, ID;
Sister: Jeanette (Dale) Ricks of Gooding, ID;
Sister: Arlene (Art) Fullmer of Iona, ID;

He was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Blake Egan, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the Ammon LDS 2nd Ward (1100 S Tiebreaker), Ammon, Idaho, with Bishop Randy Lords, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Road), and Thursday from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
