---The Altoona Mirror (Altoona, Pennsylvania) Thursday, July 12, 1906---
Wife of Edward B. Funk of Eighth avenue and Eleventh street, died of consumption this morning at 7:20 at the Nason Sanitorium, Roaring Spring, after an illness of five months. The deceased not being dangerously ill was taken to the sanitorium yesterday afternoon in hopes that she would be benefitted and her death came as a surprise to her family. Her husband who is employed by the Adam Express company in this city was delivering some goods when apprised of her death. She was age 44 years, 11 months, and 7 days and has been a resident of Altoona for the past five years. Besides her husband she is survived by five children as follows: Mollie, Regina, Francis, Catherine and Charles E., all at home. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Patrick Langhlin of this city and Mrs. Maggie Quinlin of Pittsburg. Mrs. Funk was a member of St. Mark's Catholic church. Private interment will be made at St. Patrick's cemetery at Newry Friday morning at 10:30.
