1112 Hull Street, Beattie Block.
The remains of Mr. Joseph D. Moles, son of Mr. William W. Moles, of No. 20 east Fifth street, were received in Manchester yesterday morning. Young Moles' death occurred in Havana, Cuba, January 8, 1899. At the time he was a member of Company F, Fourth Virginia Volunteers, and had only been on the island for a short time. The body was buried in Cuba, but it being the desire of the family to have the remains brought home, they were shipped from Havana a few weeks ago to New York and from there direct to Manchester. At one time Mr. Moles was a member of the Manchester Grays, members of which company will act as pall-bearers at the funeral service, which will be conducted at the Fifth-Street Methodist church this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The last resting-place of the body will be in Maury Cemetery. The Times: Richmond, VA. Wednesday, February 21, 1900.
