Victorian polymath, geographer, meteorologist, tropical explorer, founder of differential psychology, inventor of fingerprint identification, pioneer of statistical correlation and regression, convinced hereditarian, eugenicist, proto-geneticist, half-cousin of Charles Darwin and author. Sir Francis Galton was born at the Larches near Sparbrook, Birmingham on February 16, 1822 and died in London, England on January 17th, 1911. (bio by: Lisa)
