James R. "Tink" Barnhart, Sr., age 75 of Warfordsburg, died Friday February 1, 2013 at his home.

Born October 27, 1937 he was the son of the late James Elwood and Gwendolyn Hann Barnhart, and husband of Marlene Golden Barnhart who he married October 17, 1959 at the Piney Plains Methodist Church.

Tink was retired owner and operator of Barnhart's Store, Warfordsburg, attended the Hancock Assembly of God Church, was a member of the James W. Bowers AF &AM Masonic lodge Hancock, the Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion, was a veteran of the US Army and a 1955 graduate of the Warfordsburg High School.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son Jimmy Barnhart and Wife Tracy of Warfordsburg and one daughter, Kimberly Barnhart-Hulock and husband Steve of Chambersburg, PA, two sisters Norma Moats of Hancock, Patricia Dodson, Jacksonville, NC and two brothers, Hobert Barnhart of Little Orleans, MD and Rick Barnhart of Needmore, PA. Also surviving are grandchildren Timothy and Bo Divelbliss and Alexandra, Christian and Elijah Barnhart. Tink was preceded in death by one infant daughter and one brother Roger "Beanie" Barnhart.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Hancock Assembly of God, the Rev. Don Preston and Rev. Robert D. Smith, Sr. will officiate. A Military Service will be conducted by the Tri-State Honor Guard.
