Mrs. Annie Vivian Halbert Burchfield, 82, of Greenwood died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1987, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Memorial services were conducted from Wilson and Knight Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. Burial was in the Drew Cemetery in Drew. The Rev. Al Finch officiated.
The Palestine, Ark. native had lived in Greenwood for 11 years. She also lived in Minter City. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Minter City.
She is survived by nine daughters, Mrs. Stella Garrison of Greenwood, Mrs. Bessie Self of Winona, Mrs. Shirley Sewell of Minter City, Mrs. Sue Allen of Traveler's Rest, S.C., Mrs. Alice Dobbs, Mrs. Ida Boykin, Mrs. Grace Sanders and Mrs. Peggy Coleman, all of Greenville, and Mrs. Charlene Fox of Minneapolis, three sons, James Burchfield of Carrollton, David Burchfield of Covington, La., and W.T. Burchfield of Columbus, three brothers, Gacola Halbert of Palestine, and Bennett Halbert and Howard Halbert both of Mobile, Ala., two sisters, Mrs. Alice Maude Miles of Memphis, and Mrs. Maxie Gore of Forrest City, Ark., 41 grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
