Earle Raymond Carpenter, 82, lifetime Spokane resident, died yesterday in a convalescent center here.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, at First Baptist Church. Rev. Murl G. Smith will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Carpenter married Nellie Shaw on 30 June 1923. He was a widower when he married Nellie. The marriage was her first.
He was the son of the late, Eleanor (Ella) Schoonover Carpenter and Robert Edgar Carpenter.
A retired employee of Spokane Woodworking Company, Mr. Carpenter was a member of the AFL Mill Men's Union and a 50 year member of First Baptist Church. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the church.
Surviving are his wife Nellie, at the home, W 1120 Sprague; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Storey, of Spokane; and Mrs. J.E. (Pearle) Covey of Portland; and one brother, R. Ed Carpenter of Newport, Washington.
The body will remain at Smith's Funeral Home. Smith's is in charge of all arrangements.
