Report 12:38amThank you! Thank you for responding to my genealogy inquiry! This Timlick family connection has almost been the proverbial 'brick wall' at times so it has been wonderful finding present folks been wonderful finding present folks who have been located. So Ardie June was your former mother-in-law? I will finish this e-mail to you in a moment..Report 6:03amHi Margaret, do you know if Milton Timlick was named after Milton Jones, Lizzie's uncle? Is anyone in the family the Family Historian who I could write? I am eager to see photos, etc. of the Timlick family members. Lizzie was the sister to my Great-Grandmother. Her sister, Lula married a Timlick brother, haven't found any descendents for them yet...My maiden name was Pickens, I was raised here in Tennessee from the age of 3. My husband was born and raised in Minneapolis, his father is first generation American, his Grandfather was born in Liverpool, England and came to Minnesota thru Canada and joined the Army during WWI. As you can tell, I love Genealogy!.June 7, 2011
Report 9:14pmHelen, I found out from one of my former husbands relatives that Milton Carmi Timlick was William Russell or Russell William Timlick and Lizzie Jones Timlicks son. According to my former husbands Aunt Bonnie Dinan, there were 5 sisters: l. Louella Jones 2. Lettie Jones 3. Lottie Jones 4. Lizzie Jones Timlick 5. Lula Jones. Milton (we called him Carmi, married late in life to Irene Lago Timlick. They were very happily married. Milton was tall and very thin. I don't know how to put pictures on Facebook or my e mail. Thats it for now. Margaret.Report 11:52pmHi Margaret, what a delight to hear from you again! I love hearing more and more details on the Jones and Timlick families, it is a very slow process indeed in trying to locate information about them. As to the Jones sisters mentioned in your message, Lottie is the one who I have found the most information on as she was my Great-Grandmother, the stories of her are still fresh in my mind from what my cousin Betty Jane Hillaker Pilon told us. I have only a few photos of her, they are cherished as they were shared by Betty Jane only months before her death. She had such fond memories of summers spent at her Grandparents' home in Fairgrove, Michigan. The other Jones sister who I located a record on was Lula Jones, she married a man with the last name of Radley, passing away at a young age (the influenza epidemic of 1919) while living in Flint. Her death certificate was located in an on-line database, it does not reflect that she had any children during her marriage. I have not been successful in locating anyone who has worked on the Jones family history, the search continues. How interesting to hear of Carmi's marriage to this Irene Lago! I will try to follow that lead for now. Please keep in touch, I love hearing from you. Warmly, Helen.
