Anna Gertrude Stambaugh was born November 10, 1879, in Carroll County, Maryland, the daughter of Charles E. and Phoebe Weddle Stambaugh. In December of 1919, in Frederick County, Maryland, she married Lewis Jacob Warner, son of Jacob and Mary Jane Rouzer Warner. They were the parents of one daughter, Mary Ellen Warner. Gertrude passed away March 9, 1971, in Detour, Carroll County, Maryland, and was buried on the 12th in Haugh's Church Cemetery, Ladiesburg, Frederick County, Maryland.

"Mrs. Anna Gertrude Warner, 91, wife of the late Lewis J. Warner, who predeceased her in 1936, died Tuesday, after a lengthy illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carlton Catlin, Detour, with whom she resided. Born in Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Phoebe Weddle Stambaugh. She was a member of Mt. Zion, Haugh's Lutheran Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Catlin; one sister, Mrs. Guy Wilhide, National Lutheran Home, Washington, D. C.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Union Bridge Funeral Home of D. D. Hartzler and Sons Thursday evening. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Eugene A. Gardner, her pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Haugh's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the building fund of Haugh's Lutheran Church."

Pallbearers were Arthur Clabaugh, Robert Dutrow, William Stambaugh, Edward Stambaugh, Charles Dougherty and Carroll Dougherty. Interment was in Haugh's Cemetery."
