Military Service:Pvt. 2 Regt. Tenn Mil War of 1812
====================================
During the war of 1812, Joseph was a soldier in the 2nd regiment, East Tennessee Volunteer Militia. He was a private in the company commanded by Captain John Roper. The regimental commander was Colonel William Lillard. He enlisted at Dandridge,Tennessee on October 8, 1813 and served until February 8, 1814, fighting Creek Indians.
