Cyril Roderic Esslinger passed away August 18, 2006 surrounded by family and friends.
He was born March 18, 1930 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Carl and Lucille Esslinger.
More than anything else in the world he loved his job as a coach driver and enjoyed the people that toured with him. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, playing cards, model building, and painting. He liked watching war, western and gangster movies, listening to the crooners of the past, country, the Big Band era and The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He was a football fanatic and was very patriotic.
Survived by daughters, Holly (Patrick) Porter of Salt Lake, Lori (Brooke) Archuletta of Bountiful; grandchildren, Steven, Nicole, De-von, Thackery, Alex, Stockton, Madeleine, Grace, and Ellen. His brothers, Russell "The Major" (Joan) Miller, Howard "Muggs" (Diane) Miller, and Donald "Blackie" Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl, Jr. "Bud"; sister, Corrine; wife, Donna Jane; and daughter, Tamara Renee.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 25th, at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, 2 p.m. where friends and family may call one hour prior.
