Ida was born on 15 May 1885 in Huntington, Utah. She married Sam Alvin McAdow on 16 Oct 1906 in Green River, Utah.
Ida and Alvin were constantly moving. They lived in American Falls Idaho, Price, Utah and by 1920 were living in Oroville, California and were back in Utah by 1923 when her oldest daughter was born.
Ida had been married to Alvin for seventeen years when the were in Salt Lake City living in a boxcar while they cooked in cafes and for the railroad crews. One night while they were in the Salt Lake Yard Alvin got drunk and sold a trunk full of her possessions. So she divorced him.
Ida moved to San Diego where she met and married Robert (Bob) Hansen(about 1924/5). Shortly after her marriage to him the Great Depression hit. Bob a, violinist, could no longer make a living with the symphony so they moved to Price, Utah where he got a job playing for the movies. Then the silent movies went away when the talkies started. He taught music lessons for a while. Then went to work at the mines in Hiawatha, Utah where Ida had a little girl, Dorothy May 7 Aug 1928, who was either stillborn or died shortly after death. Ida then had her son Bobby (Charles Robert Hansen Jr.). In 1930 they were in Winnemucca, Humboldt, Nevada where Bob worked in the mines. They moved back to San Diego where Ida died on 1 March 1934.
