OBITUARY:
Funeral Services for Douglas F. Petitpain Sr., were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son, Inc., 3827 Canal St.

Interment was in the Metarie Cemetery. Mr. Petitpain, a district manager of the SCM Corp., here died Tuesday in Southern Baptist Hospital following a long illness. He was 78.

A native of New Orleans, he was an elder in the Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church, a member of the Friends of the Cabildo, the New Orleans Parkway Commission, Invincible Lodge N. 361, F&AM, Palmetto Camp No. 2, Woodmen of the World, and the Uptown Midwinter Fair Association. He also held membership in the Young Men's Business Club, the Yacht Club Commission and the New Orleans Floral Trial Commission.

He is survived by hiw widow, Mrs. Juanita Edwards Petitpain, two sons, Douglas F. Petitpain Jr, and Murry Petitpain. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Dykhunizen, and Mrs. Maud Muller; two brothers, George H. Crossen, and Harry G. Crossen; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
