Bar owner and long time member of the Marine Band.
His bar was called the Star Saloon which was next to the Ford's Theatre.
John Wilkes Booth was in his saloon before he went and assassinated President Abraham Lincoln.
Testified at the conspiracy trial, on May 15th, 1865 where it was learned that he was friends with conspirator David Herold from his childhood days.
Played the French Horn in the Marine Band for over twenty-five years.
Peter Taltavull passed away in 1881.
