SCOTSDALE, Ariz. - Jerry Blakemore, 71, died Sept. 10, 1993, at his home.
He was born May 25, 1922, at Liberal, the son of Shelby and Lena Fly Blakemore. He graduated from the New Mexico Military Academy, Roswell, N.M., and received his master's degree from Kansas University. He was a businessman, farmer, and an agent in fixed income securities.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Rotary and Paul Harris Fellows of Colorado Springs, Colo.
In 1952, he married Lois Emrie.
Survivors include: three sons, Thomas Jerry, Scotsdale, Mark Steven, Erie, Colo., and David Emrie, Prescott, Ariz.; two daughters, Mary Ann Kimminan, Williamsburg, Va., and Martha Jane Rodriguez, Rapid City, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Miller Chapel Mortuary, Liberal, with Charles Brisendine presiding. Friends may call from 8 a.m. until service time at Miller Mortuary, Liberal. Burial will be in the Liberal Cemetery.
