Professional Football Player. For five seasons (1953 to 1957), he played at the defensive-back position in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers. He attended Seminole High School and later earned an athletic scholarship in both track and football where he participated at Southern Methodist University. During his collegiate years, he distinguished himself as he received All-Southwest Conference honors. Selected by the Packers during the 1952 NFL Draft, he appeared in 58 regular season games. Unfortunately for Walker during his years with Green Bay, they never experienced an above .500 season. His final year in 1957 with the 49ers, he was a contributor to San Francisco's squad for which finished first in the NFL West. After retiring from football, he established his own business form company in the Dallas-area. He died of complications from Alzheimer's disease. (bio by: C.S.)
