Beloved Uncle
He was a veteran of The United States Army;
Purple Heart Recipient
Uncle Earl died of a massive heart attack. He was also a Diabetic, and also had lung cancer. He was such a loving soul. He loved living in the country, and living the simple life.Uncle Earl met my Aunt Elaine at the old Taylor County Hospital, when my sister was having her appendix taken out, he and Mom stayed up all night, and Aunt Elaine was my sister's nurse, after that night , they started dating and then they married, and had one Beautiful son , Robert Earl Pierce. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Pierce, one son Robert Earl Pierce, two grandsons: Ethan Pierce and Dylan Pierce
Edwin Earl Pierce, age 68, of Louisville formerly of Green County, passed away Monday January 21, 2013, at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville Ky. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Pierce and Vivian McNear Pierce.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. EST, Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, 2501 N. Dixie Boulevard, Radcliff, Ky, with Full Military Honors.
He is survived by one sister: Mae Hardison of Talahassee, Florida; one grandson Cody Pierce. Also survived by three brothers, Bobby Pierce, Charles Pierce and Tommy Pierce. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
