Beecher Herod McPeak, 83, a lifelong resident of the Central View Community, in Walling, passed away Jan. 22, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. McPeak was born March 24, 1929, in Walling, to Joe Eins and Martha Cole McPeak.

He was a farmer and minister of Concord Baptist Church, in Warren County. He was a member of the Rock Island Masonic Lodge #452 more than 50 years, a founding member of the Central View Volunteer Fire Department and a proud trustee of Old Philadelphia Cemetery.

Mr. McPeak was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Wallace McPeak; and sisters, Lavona Jones and Della Mae Johnson. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Geneva Carter McPeak of Walling; Daughters: Kathy Webb and husband Gary, Kay McPeak and George Rogers of Rock Island, Debbie McPeak, Denise (Roger) Creason; Six granddaughters; one grandson; 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Jan. 25, 2013, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Old Philadelphia Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Jan 24, at the funeral home. Masonic services by Rock Island Masonic Lodge #452 will be 7 p.m., Jan. 24.

Mack Farmer, Andrew Nabors, Aizik Nabors, Roger Creason, Richard Mason and Quinn Templeton will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Tindel, Garland Johnson, David Seabolt, members of the Central View Fire Department, and members of Rock Island Masonic Lodge #452.

The family asks that memorials be made to Old Philadelphia Cemetery, in care of Hunter Funeral Home, P.O. Box 90, Sparta, Tenn. 38583
