Mrs. Lettie M. Van Patten, widow of Dr. Myndert Van Patten, formerly a cancer specialist, died Tuesday at the home of her son, Rev. L. A. Van Patten in Kansas City. Funeral services were held in Kansas City Thursday afternoon and this afternoon a short service was held in the United Presbyterian church at Sterling, burial was in the Sterling cemetery.
She lived in Sterling from 1887 until a few years ago. For a short time she lived in Hutchinson when her son, Rev. Van Patten was pastor of the Irwin Memorial Presbyterian church.
Surviving are three sons, Rev. Van Patten; Myndert Van Patten, Buhl, Idaho and Guy Van Patten of St Louis, Mo.; three step-daughters, Mrs Winifred McHenry, Jetmore; Mrs Fern Gilbert, Albuquerque, NM and Mrs Lutie Elliott, San Bernardino, Calif. Mrs Earl Warnock of Partridge is a granddaughter.
