Edwin Christianson, age 87 of Westby, died Monday evening, Dec. 20, 1993 in Viroqua. He was born November 1, 1906 in the town of Sterline, Vernon Co., to Charley and Annie (Knutson) Christianson. He was baptized and confirmed at Northwest Prairie Lutheran Church. On June 5, 1935, he was united in marriage to Hilda Sidie in Waukon, IA. They farmed in the town of Christiana, Vernon County, since 1949. Ed drove a Westby school bus for 15 years, retiring in 1970. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the Eagles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Richard of Amery, and Shirley (LaMont) Hagen of Westby; three grandchildren, Todd (Deb) Christianson of Amery, Cheryl (Ricky) Nelson of Coon Valley, Michael Hagen of Westby; three great-grandchildren, Melissa & Jason Christianson and Michelle Nelson; and one sister, Anna Olson of Durand, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles; one granddaughter, Melissa; and his daughter-in-law, Marlene.
