Bertha Gust was the daughter of Wilhelm Robert and Johanna Gust from Nadolnik Muehle, Posen, Germany. Bertha came to this country with her mother to Davenport. She married Julius Liebenow in 1887. They had five children: Ella, Richard, Max, Della and Paul. Julius died in 1896.
Bertha then married Gustave Haney. They had three children: Clarence, Susan,and Ruth. They lived in Casselton, ND and farmed in the area until their retirement when they lived in Casselton. Bertha enjoyed canning and embroidery and being with family.
