Chester Conklin
Birth: Jan. 11, 1886
Death: Oct. 11, 1971

Actor. One of Mack Sennett's famed Keystone Kops, he worked extensively with Charlie Chaplin and had an important role in Erich Von Stroheim's "Greed." In the 1920s he appeared in four early W. C. Fields's films, including "Her Majesty Love." In the late 1940s his career went into decline, reportedly he was found working as Santa Claus in a L.A. department store. (bio by: MC)
