Walter K. Carlgren Dies from the Kansan, Concordia, Kansas, Thursday, April 28, 1973
Walter K. Carlgren lifetime resident and retired farmer of the Concordia area, died Tuesday afternoon, April 24 of what was believed to have been a heart attack. He was 82.
Mr. Carlgren was born on a farm in Sibley, township March 15, 1891, a son of Charles and Caroline Carlgren. He was a memeber of Trinity United Methodist Chruch.
He was married to Eva Ott who died in 1939. January 13, 1943, he was married to Ida M. Taylor and she died Jan. 26, 1970. Mr. Carlgren farmed in the Sibley area until retiring a few years ago when he moved to Concordia.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son Clinton in November 1971 and a brother, Edward.
Survivors are a son, Robert of Grand Island, Neb,; two brothers: Russell Carlgren and Oscar Carlgren of Concordia; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Christensen of Concordia and Mrs. Florence Roberts of Kansas City, Mo; 6 grandchildren,and ? great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday. April 27 in the Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Kerseonrock officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Smith Funeral Home.
