Ina M. Hootman rite Tuesday

The service for Ina M. Hootman, 95, who died at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 1989, at Parkview Care Center, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. Friends may call as they desire at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Diabetes Association and Parkview Care Center Activity Fund.

Mrs. Hootman was born Feb. 21, 1894, in Salem. The daughter of Edwin and Sarah E. Hodson Dille. She married Clem L. Hootman Nov. 4, 1914, in Fairfield. He died June 1, 1954. A homemaker and member of the Christian church, she had lived most of her life in the Birmingham community. The oldest of her siblings, she was the last surviving member of the Dille family.

She is survived by three sons, Keith of Antlers, Okla,, Rex of Birmingham, Ray (sic. Marlin Ray Hootman) of Winchester, Ky; four daughters, Eva Johnston of Fairfield, Elna Greenfield of Birmingham, Eileen Losey of Scottsdale, Ariz., Shirrel Dowd of Mount Pleasant; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Four sons, Harold, Dean, Don, Verle (sic. Veryl); one daughter Reva; three brothers, Wayne, Clyde, Vance and one sister Ferne, preceded her in death.
