Frances Heintz, 96, Minot, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in a Minot nursing home.

Frances Mack was born on February 19, 1916, a daughter of August and Magdelina (Schmidt) Mack on the family farm near Orrin, ND. She was raised and educated in the Orrin area.

On September 24, 1934, Frances was united in marriage to Anton Heintz in Orrin, ND. They made their home on a farm near Orrin for seven years. In 1942, they moved to the Sykeston, ND area, where they farmed until 1965, when they moved to Minot. While in Minot, they were co-owners of Tony's Meat Shop and Restaurant until the 1969 flood came and closed the shop. Anton died in January of 1976. Following his death, Frances continued to live in Minot, where she worked at the Ramada Inn in the housekeeping department.

While living on the farm, Frances enjoyed gardening and playing cards with the neighbors. After she moved into Minot, she enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, attending social events and traveling throughout the United States to visit with family and friends. Frances was a member of the Little Flower Catholic Church, where she was active with the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

Frances is survived by:
Children: Beatrice (Luverne) Gussiaas, New Rockford, ND, Zeno (Darlene) Heintz, Jamestown, ND, Adeline (Frank) Samek, Fargo, ND, Rosemary Harris, Billings, MT, Eugene (Diane) Heintz, Frisco, TX, Anton (Deb) Heintz, Dallas, TX, James (Brenda) Heintz, Dallas, TX, Betty Heintz, Minot, ND; 33 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Frances was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, children Dennis Heintz, Daniel Heintz and Magdelina Bonogofsky and her nine siblings.

Visitation: Sunday, January 20, 2013 from noon until 5 pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 5 pm in Thompson Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, January 21, 2013 at 10:30 am at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot
