John Harrison Sanders Farrar, born in 1824 Near Marion, in Perry County, Alabama, was the son of Henry Lansford and Sally Webb Farrar. He married Frances Nancy Ann Day on 13 Aug 1846. They journeyed west in 1848 with first born, Nathaniel Spencer, on the Wagon Train of Pastor Elias George to Marion, Louisiana with brothers Winston and Henry,Jr. They continued west and settled in the Spearsville, La. area. They had 12 children, one died at birth.

"IN THIS CEMETERY AT UNKNOWN LOCATIONS ARE THE GRAVES OF JOHN HARRISON SANDERS FARRAR* (1824-1879) AND WIFE FRANCES NANCY DAY (AUG 20, 1832-MAY 1, 1891) ORIGINAL SETTLERS OF THE LILLIE COMMUNITY.
ALSO SONS NATHANIEL SPENCER (1847-UNK**) AND MASON (1868-MARCH 16, 1881*) DAUGHTER CLEMENTINE (1855-UNK) AND SON WINSTON L S ** (UNK-UNK)"
